ANZ Innovyz START

ANZ Innovyz START is a 13-week intensive accelerator program aimed at assisting prospective and existing small business owners to develop and grow their businesses for success.

ANZ Innovyz START looks for ten successful tech enterprises with potentially break-through ideas that are ready for accelerated growth. The program identifies the key elements to success that entrepreneurs need to know to get them ‘investor ready’. The program includes mentoring by successful entrepreneurs, learning programs around growing a company, identification of target markets, working and reworking the company’s plans, and a presentation to potential investors on the last day of the program.

The program will provide a $20,000 stipend and ANZ will provide a $20,000 loan to each company chosen to participate in the program.*

ANZ Innovyz START is one of 50 accelerators in the Global Accelerator Network that was created by TechStars.

How the program works

Ten companies are selected from a large pool of applicants. They move to Adelaide for 13 weeks to grow their companies in our accelerator which is located in the CBD. The program is not curriculum based but rather an immersive, mentor driven program where participants work with world-class mentors - including CEOs and corporate executives who have started, grown and exited companies - to refine their business model, shape their marketing and product strategies, and prepare for global growth.

Peer to peer learning is a major focus for participants, as they are on a collective journey with nine other companies. Alongside the Mentors these co-participants act as a sounding board, peer mentors and encouragement.

Past participants in Global Accelerator Network programs have noted that the fulltime interactive nature of the program accelerates learning in a way they could not have achieved otherwise. It also leverages the contacts of their peers, mentors and the worldwide reach of a global network. These are key elements in growing a business fast.

Each of the ten selected companies (three participants per company) will relocate to Adelaide for the duration of the program and receive $20,000 per company plus a range of additional perks and course delivery valued at over $500,000.

List of perks

Throughout the 3 months the Managing Director Dr Jana Matthews will lead an intensive series of sessions on key growth areas.

At the conclusion of the program each company will pitch their business plan to investors and venture capitalists with the chance of receiving financial backing to invest into further development or implementation of the business idea.

In exchange for the funding to participate in this program ANZ Innovyz START will take 8% equity in each company.
